0

If you live in Baltimore City or Baltimore County and are looking to add trees to your yard, definitely plan on visiting Blue Water Baltimore’s Herring Run Nursery this Sunday to grab yourself a free one.

The nursery is tucked into a beautiful spot on the Mount Pleasant Golf Course, and is an ideal spot for landscaping enthusiasts searching for an extensive variety of trees, shrubs, grasses and flowers native to the Chesapeake Bay region.

Thirteen native tree species are in stock: Allegheny Serviceberry, Sassafras, Witch Hazel, Pawpaw, Persimmon, Sweetbay Magnolia, Black Gum, American Plum, American Holly, White Pine, Northern Red Oak, White Oak, and American Sycamore.  Note: not all of these species will be available at the giveaway.

Four years ago, this 5-foot Red Bud tree was merely a little stick tree. My son and I got at another free tree giveaway.
