They may be losing out to hunters, but Boo Boo the BiPedal Bear is ready to stand up for bears.

In the wake of the tragic death of New Jerseyโ€™s Pedals, Hancockโ€™s own Boo Boo is set for internet fame. The bear can walk on two legs, just like humans.

CBS News reports that Boo Boo has been frequenting the backyard of Brenda K. Douglas, who has watched him grow. In one of Douglasโ€™ pictures, it looks like heโ€™s ready to jump on a trampoline.

โ€œWe love our Boo Boo. He is such a gentle bear. Donโ€™t bother him and he doesnโ€™t bother you,โ€ Douglas told CBS.

With all the bear sightings in suburban areas of the state, itโ€™s a sign that the animals are adapting our way of life.

Fortunately, Boo Booโ€™s arrival comes just after Marylandโ€™s annual black bear hunt, so it doesnโ€™t appear heโ€™s at risk as suffering the same fate as Pedals.
