We’ve reported before on Johns Hopkins’ $10 million plan to infiltrate — I mean, improve! — the area around its Homewood campus. Well, $2 million has already been spent so far in the program’s first year; here’s where it went:
We were happy to hear about the new (huge!) Willem de Kooning sculpture that arrived at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus earlier this fall; but just one piece of public art by a famous artist wasn’t enough for Hopkins. Last week, a huge (35-foot!) metal sculpture was installed on the campus. It’s called Red Sails, it’s by American sculptor John Henry, and it looks amazing.
