Members of Johns Hopkins’ freshman design class gathered “to build a glider that could be propelled by the momentum of a falling weight and shot across the Great Hall inside Levering, over a horizontal string suspended from wall to wall and land in the fireplace at the far end of the room.” This year, team Boeing! Glider than Air, Chase Lahr, Tessa Ericson, and Sean Pak – all first year mechanical engineering students won with their glider.
