Federal Hill bar Abbey Burger Bistro is the home of Charm City Gooners, the local Arsenal fan club.

English Premier League clubs Arsenal (Gunners) and Everton will face off tomorrow at M&T Bank Stadium for ‘The Charm City Match’ and it comes with great excitement for Federal Hill bar Abbey Burger Bistro. Abbey Burger Bistro is the home of the Charm City Gooners, the Arsenal fan club that has watched matches at Abbey since 2009.

When asked about the excitement of Arsenal coming to Baltimore, Abbey co-owner Marigot Miller said the news was “huge, huge, huge, huge.” She added it was “unexpected and very exciting.”

Abbey is the official Arsenal bar in Baltimore and listed on the club’s website. No other Maryland bars are listed.

Miller said Abbey typically gets 20-50 Arsenal fans for games, some of which start at 7am, and big games draw an even bigger crowd. Abbey has Arsenal flags flying outside, Arsenal jerseys and scarves on the walls, and serves Fullers, which is the stadium beer at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. Abbey also serves a shot called The Romford Pele which is a shot of Jagermeister in a beer. Abbey serves it with Natty Boh. Romford Pele is the nickname for former Gunner Ray Parlour.
