In the follow-up to their viral Unedited Footage of a Bear, Baltimore’s Wham City Comedy brought an even weirder, obsessive-friendly short video to Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block.

This House Has People in It, made by Baltimore artists Alan Resnick, Robby Rackleff, Dina Kelberman, Cricket Arrison, and Ben O’Brien, aired on Adult Swim’s 4 a.m. time slot in the morning of March 15. It tells its story through surveillance footage recording the activity in and around a house as a family prepares for a birthday party.

In the tradition of Unedited Footage, it features hard-to-miss — and intensely strange — central event buttressed by an overload of unexplained details that invite the curious to obsess for hours. The video is credited to AB Surveillance Solutions, whose eponymous website is filled with Easter eggs that by turns clarify and further obscure what goes on in the video.

The group’s previous offering earned a bunch of press and even elicited accolades from screenwriter Charlie Kaufman.
