Baltimore School for the Arts holds its annual fundraiser, Expressions, this weekend. This year’s gala is extra exciting because chairing the event is BSA alum, celebrity designer and Project Runway winner Christian Siriano. The rising star of fashion will mingle with guests and hold a private trunk show for the fundraiser. Organizers promise a “special surprise” presented by Siriano, a favorite winner among Project Runway loyalists.
Themed “In Perfect Form,” the celebration is also chaired by board member Molly Shattuck. The festivities will kick-off with the Expressions Gala on Saturday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. and will feature performances and exhibits by BSA’s most talented students in art, music, dance and theatre, as well as a seated dinner, live auction and hands-on classes with students.
On Sunday, March 3 and Sunday, March 10, Expressions – Family Edition will offer one-hour, family-friendly matinee shows of the Expressions student performances at 2:00 and 5:30 p.m.
Then, on Monday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m., BSA will host Monday Night Expressions, an informal evening with lite-fare and cocktails followed by the Expressions performance and dessert.
The Expressions celebration, the primary fundraising effort for the BSA Foundation, provides over a third of the Foundation’s annual funds each year to support BSA’s combined academic and arts education.
