98 Rock hosted Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for an interview earlier this week, but the radio station is saving the biggest bit of pomp for one of their own. Queen of Rock Sarah Fleischer is retiring after 38 years at the local station.
Fleischer has been on the FM station for its entire existence in its all-music format. She was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame.
The send-off started Thursday night with a party at Power Plant Live, but Friday marks Fleischer’s final day behind the mic during midday. As of 3 p.m., her final show was complete.
