On Monday, we highlighted three ways to help people and establishments who were affected by the weekend’s flooding in Ellicott City, including Jailbreak Brewing’s fundraiser. Since then, even more ways have been planned to help out, just by drinking. Here’s a rundown:
Heavy Seas Brewing is set to donate 50 percent of its revenue from its tap room in Halethorpe on Saturday and Sunday to help flood victims. They are also accepting donations of dust masks, gloves, shovels and other materials. Donations will go to the Ellicott City Partnership.
Flying Dog Brewery is donating proceeds from its tasting room in Frederick to victims from Thursday-Sunday. Additionally, proceeds from an August 3 event at Alehouse Columbia and August 7 at White Oak Tavern in Ellicott City will also go toward victims.
Portside Tavern in Canton is having a Friday night fundraiser. They’re asking for a $10 donation to get in, then will provide a wristband for a host of drink specials. All donations from the door go to Ellicott City, so give more if you wish.
