Over the weekend, the Boston Globe published an interview with writer Cheryl Strayed, author of New York Times bestseller “Wild.” Guess which local writer she’s recommending “a lot” these days? (We’ll give you a hint: she writes Bohemian Rhapsody for this website.) From the interview:
“Is there one book you find yourself recommending a lot?
STRAYED: “The Glen Rock Book of the Dead” by Marion Winik. There are micro chapters, only one to four pages long, in which she writes little portraits of everyone in her life who’s died.”
Strayed’s bestselling book, “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail” was #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List for seven weeks and was the first selection of Oprah’s Book Club 2.0.
