On a summer weekend, there’s usually a street festival in Baltimore offering a chance to check out the highlights of one of the city’s many, many neighborhoods. On this particular weekend, Hamilton is in the spotlight.
The northeast Baltimore neighborhood has a Tuesday night market that is always a highlight. On Saturday, July 30, that concept expands out to a full-on party with the Hamilton Street Festival on the 5400 and 5500 block of Harford Road.
It’s the 23 edition of the festival, reflecting Hamilton-Lauraville’s consistent spot among Baltimore neighborhoods outside downtown that are worth checking out. The fest features all things local like art and food. Berger Cookies are also in the mix. This year’s festival also features three stages of music, with Ellen Cherry, the Upstarters and Eli in August among the acts.
