St.Patrick’s Day is still over two weeks away, but that’s no reason not to start celebrating, right? Over in Canton, they’re chomping at the bit, so why not join in for a a little Irish-inspired revelry this weekend? You’ll get the St.Patty’s party started early, and maybe even be feeling spent by the time everyone else is out in force a week or two later. The Canton Irish Stroll involves a pub crawl of sorts with tons of Irish grub along the way, and guidance by a strolling bagpiper and a lucky leprechaun. There will, of course, also be plenty of green beads to go around, so you needn’t fear getting pinched.
The Canton Irish Stroll will hit up a whopping seventeen participating pubs. Personally, we can’t envision sampling the spirits at all seventeen– no matter how celebratory we’re feeling. But specials throughout the night will include $4 Blue Moon beers, $5 Three Olives vodkas, and $4 Redd’s Apple Ales. Some of the participating pubs include Looney’s (where the whole thing kicks off), Claddagh Pub, the Portside Tavern, and El Bufalo Tequila Bar & Kitchen (not necessarily the most Irish sounding place on the list, but whatever). Sure, you could wait until it’s actually St.Patrick’s Day to start guzzling green beer and packing away corned beef, but where would the fun in that be?
The Canton Irish Stroll takes place this Saturday, March 7th, beginning at Looney’s Pub. For more information, visit the event page.
