Festival season stays in swing this weekend, with food trucks amassing in Patterson Park and gladiators in the streets of Little Italy. Meanwhile, anniversary celebrations abound. Plus, the city’s jazz aficionados will have their pick of sets, from the Sculpture Garden to Federal Hill. Several places will be holding benefits to help the victims of the flood in Ellicott City. It’s time to welcome summer (unofficially), as Memorial Day weekend in Baltimore sees public spaces like Hollins Market and the Maryland Zoo transformed into celebrations, and welcomes back seasonal series.

The free, warmer-weather concert series from WTMD returns with two stages of music. 90s alt heroes Belly headline the season opener on the big stage, along with Low Cut Connie and Loma the Band. An all-blues stage features the Nighthawks, Tom Principato and the Ursula Ricks Project.
