It’s hard to believe it is already October! The first month of school always flies by with back to school orientations, adjusting to new classmates and teachers, new extra-curricular activities, and even lots of family fall events!! At Grace Preschool, we are thrilled that these events felt very “normal” and back to what preschool fall should be like!

At Grace Preschool, it was exciting to enjoy all the smiling faces on orientation day, comfort the nervous children without masks, allow grown ups to walk their children to their classrooms in the morning, share an evening of pizza and popsicles with the community, and even host an in person 60th birthday celebration for our school!

Additionally, Grace’s new Seedlings program is possible because the children’s caretakers are now able to be in the building with them! Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-10:30, the grownup/Seedling duos get to enjoy the toddlers’ first taste of school!

They enjoy gross motor movement, fine motor and sensory activities, music and dancing, art projects, hand washing, snack, circle time and lots of free play! We are amazed that the children already know our routines after 8 classes! They (usually!) help clean up while singing our cleanup song, and they enjoy sitting and interacting with each other during snack time. The teachers would agree that the favorite time of the day is our welcome song during circle time when we sing “Mr. Sun” and welcome each child by name as they hold our buddy Mr. Sun! Seedlings is such a special program for caretakers to enjoy school with their little ones, and we are so glad to be able to offer this option during our “normal” school year!

Looking forward to November, Grace Preschool will welcome back its Holiday Bazaar! With over 22 vendors, we look forward to welcoming Grace parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors into our building for this special holiday shopping opportunity! We hope you will consider joining us on Friday, November 18th from 10am-2pm in Fellowship Hall.

Cheers to a normal year of preschool and events at Grace Preschool.
