The folks over at Make Tribe are redefining the term “craft beer.” Next weekend, they’ll be offering a one-evening workshop at Baltimore Clayworks, where participants will create their own ceramic beer stein under the guidance of expert instructor Mary Cloonan. Monument City Brewing will also be on hand with samples of their newest ales. This is a great opportunity to learn all about beer-making, ceramics, and how awesome it is when the two come together. Not a common occurrence, for some reason. Tickets to Clay + Beer include the stein-making workshop, and all materials. Once you make your stein, you’ll leave it to be fired and glazed by the professionals at Baltimore Clayworks. Three weeks later, you can pick it up and fill it with beer for a long, long time. Of course, there will also be Monument City brews to go along with the workshop, and bites from those snack-making geniuses at Kinderhook Snacks. Tickets are on sale now, and space is limited, so we highly recommend booking your spot now.
Clay + Beer takes place Monday, May 18 from 6:30pm-9:30pm at Baltimore Clayworks (5707 Smith Ave in Baltimore). For more information, visit www.maketribe.com.
