Did you know that there is a farmers market on Tuesdays from May to October from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Johns Hopkins at Keswick? I did not! It’s the old Zurich Insurance site, adjacent to the Rotunda along Keswick Road and 40th Street. It’s a small and growing market – how nice for the neighborhood residents and folks who work at the offices there.
As you may know, Roland Park Place is located across from the Rotunda (which is currently under a HUGE transformation – Mom’s Organic Market is coming, along with many new vendors) and the Executive Chef there is Mark Tracey. Chef Tracey will do a live cooking demonstration at the Johns Hopkins at Keswick Farmers Market this Tuesday, August 5 in conjunction with National Farmers Market Week. On the menu: Ratatouille of Summer Vegetables with Andouille and Goat Cheese. After the demo, attendees will be able to ask Chef questions about cooking and he’ll also give his insights into selecting produce at local farmers markets. This free, interactive event is free and begins at 11:00 a.m. at the market.
Spread the word about this great little market to all of your friends in North Baltimore!
