Electronic musician Dan Deacon, hip-hop soul group J Pope and the HearNow, hip-hop artist Joy Postell and experimental duo Wume are just some of the highlights from this year’s stacked Halloween party hosted by Believe in Music and the Maryland Science Center.

In all, more than a dozen bands and a half dozen DJs are performing on six stages, with proceeds benefiting Believe in Music, the nonprofit that helps Baltimore kids write and record their own music.

Now in its seventh year, the party is a partnership between Believe in Music and the Maryland Science Center.

Kenny Liner, executive director of Believe in Music, said organizers have tried to learn after each party and grow it the right way. This year in particular showcases a large swath of the city’s music scene.

“We’ve gotten to a point where we really want to highlight the diversity of amazing Baltimore bands, there’s so many of them,” he said. “I wish we had more slots so we could put more bands on.”

And as it’s become more well-known, the party has become a quick sell-out, with attendees scooping up all the tickets a month out.

“It’s become kind of like an institution for what people do on Halloween in Baltimore,” said Liner.

Tickets, which start at $35, are on sale now. VIP tickets offer early access, food from Mother’s Grille, two Union Craft Brewing beers and a Stevie Wonder tribute set are available for $75.

The party is scheduled for Oct. 27, and regular entry is at 8 p.m. Check out the full lineup below:
