Designer Duds and Jewelry Classes at B’more Betty

catch of the day fish (2)First things first: Betty is not the name of the style maven behind this new Federal Hill institution. Cleverly enough, it’s an acronym that stands for Bringing Exclusive Trends To You. And who’s going to argue with that? Betty popped up in Federal Hill this past November, and has been delighting local fashionistas ever since. Most of Betty’s fans come in the designer clothes (Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Donna Karen…must we go on?) of every era. But Betty is coming out as a one-stop, all-inclusive design haven with their new offering: jewelry-making classes.

For just $30, you can snag a spot in one of Betty’s 2-hour jewelry-making classes. Somehow, this manages to include all of the supplies to make a custom piece of jewelry, a gift box, and refreshments (for those 21 and up). As you can imagine, the classes fill up fast, so call ahead to reserve a spot.  And though Betty specializes in vintage clothing and accessories, let it be known that this is not a consignment shop. Each designer piece is hand selected by Betty’s discerning buyers and then professionally cleaned, mended and otherwise freshened up—the prices are great, but the quality of what you’ll find here is even better.

B’more Betty is located at 1316 Light St. in Baltimore. Visit for more information.
