A man died early Tuesday morning after his car careened off a Southest Baltimore street into a crab shack.
According to Baltimore police, 31-year-old Donte James was heading south in his Toyota Solara near the corner of W. Pratt St. and S. Monroe St. just after 12 a.m., when the car went off the road. The car went onto the sidewalk and hit two parking meters. After hitting a set of concrete steps, the car went airborne and hit the Bay Island Seafood.
James was taken to Shock Trauma, where he later died. The passenger of the car survived, sustaining a head injury.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, including why the car went off the road.
