DuClaw Brewing’s December Beer Release

Sweet Baby Jesus! No, we haven’t just seen light (or a really great nativity scene, for that matter). That’s a beer we’re talking about. It’s a re-release of last year’s much-beloved winter brew from DuClaw Brewing (named Maryland’s best brewery by ratebeer.com). Sure, it’s full name is the Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter, but we’ll just call it Sweet Baby J for short. That doesn’t sound too irreligious, does it? Promise you won’t tell Santa on us?

Just in time to hear us all say “I need a drink,” in response to holiday season overdrive, DuClaw brewery is re-releasing Sweet Baby Jesus, a complex, robust porter. It’s jet black in color with a tan, rocky head, full body and creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. Its lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by strong notes of chocolate, coffee and peanut butter, and balanced by a subtle hop character and moderate 6.5% abv. If you don’t speak beer, just know that that translates to “it’s really good, you probably only need one, and if you tie a red ribbon around a six pack or growler of the stuff, you can stick it under a tree and make someone very, very happy.” The beer’s release (free giveaways included) is happening this evening at DuClaw’s three different locations. Get there early, order a cold one, and pick some up to take home.

DuClaw Brewing’s December Beer Release takes place this evening at all of its three locations. For details, and to register for free giveaways, visit www.duclaw.com.
