In October, there’s about 300 chances to explore the dimensions of Baltimore’s culture.

Free Fall Baltimore is set to unfurl, with events that don’t cost anything all over the city.

The first weekend alone has lots of festivals to choose from, with the Baltimore Rhythm Festival in Old Goucher, the inaugural Baltimore Jazz Fest in Druid Hill Park and a celebration of our local birds (not the sports kind) in Leakin Park.

There’s also free admission to the Maryland Zoo on Oct. 5, and a variety of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra events, among many more.
