Girl Scouts to Honor Local Ladies With Distinguished Women Awards

Girl Scout cookiesThe Girl Scouts of Central Maryland will honor business leaders, academics and a former Ravens cheerleader, among others, on Thursday, April 24 when it holds its Distinguished Women’s Award Reception at the Baltimore County Club from 5:30 to 8:30.  The award honors five local women for their outstanding professional and civic accomplishments.

The 2014 Distinguished Women Honorees are: Dr. Susan T. Gorman, Dean, School of the Sciences, Stevenson University; Michelle Lipkowitz, Esq., Partner, Saul Ewing LLP; Monica Mitchell, Vice President & Senior Relationship Manager, Wells Fargo; Molly Shattuck, Founder, Vibrant Living; and, Joyce Ulrich, Chief Information Officer, Managing Director, Legg Mason.

“Wells Fargo applauds the Girl Scouts and the five Baltimore business leaders being recognized for their professional and civic accomplishments,” said Andy Bertamini, President of Wells Fargo’s Maryland Region. “We’re proud to be a signature sponsor of this event, and we salute the work of the Girl Scouts to develop girls of courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.”
