Fall is just not fall without a little time spent on or around hay bales. Pumpkins now abound at grocery stores and farmers markets—reminding us that it is time to get outside and start soaking up the season, and enjoying the traditional activities of fall. Apple picking, pumpkin carving, and their more relaxing and passive friend: taking a hayride. If you’re looking for a great place to take the whole family, or for a good fall-themed birthday party spot, you may want to consider booking a group hayride at Larriland Farm in the coming weeks.
If you’ve never been to Larriland (and granted, it is a bit of a drive) taking a day trip is well worth it. You can of course pick your own apples and pumpkins, but if you book ahead of time for a ride, you get so much more fall fun. A booking includes a pumpkin for carving, a walk through the Boo Barn (scared yet?), and an opportunity (should you survive the Boo Barn) to get lost in Larriland’s straw maze. Group rides are available from September 28 until October 27—and you can choose between daytime rides and the (even spooooookier) nighttime rides that include a campfire. Visit from the Headless Horseman not included.
