Getting together in the neighborhood and catching an outdoor movie is one of the many joys of summer. In Hampden, Luigi’s is providing the screen, and even some grilled meats.
You must provide the blanket and the booze, but the Wine Source is right nearby. The Saturday night series provides a chance to get together on a back patio that’s not your own. Luigi’s is right on W. 36th St., otherwise known as The Avenue.
This year’s lineup is made up entirely of movies from 1996. They all start at 10 p.m. Fittingly, Independence Day is the first flick, providing a chance to compare the sequel with the original and mark the most American holiday all in one. Here’s the full list:
July 2 – Independence Day
July 9 – The Craft
July 16 – Happy Gilmore
July 23 – Romeo + Juliet
July 30 – The Rock
August 6 – Scream
