Chill, guitar-playing indie rock goofball Mac DeMarco, known for his low-key “jizz jazz” music to some, and doing interviews with his mom and being “assaulted” by karate fighters on the “Eric Andre Show” to others, is swinging through Rams Head Live tonight for a surprise show.
The gig was announced late last night. Tickets, which cost $30, are on sale now, and will go on sale at the Rams Head box office (hint: no fees) at noon.
In an interview with The Sun‘s Wesley Case ahead of the announcement, DeMarco realized it had been too long since his last Baltimore show, and he decided to book something after his Sept. 5 concert headlining The Anthem in Washington D.C.
When informed by Case how often Baltimore gets passed over for Philly or D.C., DeMarco proposed the nation’s capital “needs to share with Baltimore.”
The interview apparently ended with this indispensable wisdom: “I hope everybody brushes their teeth everyday.”
