We got wind of a new indoor skydiving facility in White Marsh last year, and now it’s open.
iFLY recently opened at The Avenue at White Marsh. It features a vertical wind tunnel that’s designed to replicate skydiving. Instead of the whole jumping out of a plane part, thrill seekers float on a column of air. There’s a flight suit, googles and other supplies, but no parachute is required.
Participants get training from certified instructors. For those that want to add some movement, the instructors can even help you partake in maneuvers if they progress to more advanced courses.
“We just put the finishing touches on our newest iFLY operation here in White Marsh,” Jason Mitchell, General Manager for iFLY Baltimore, said in a press release. “My team and I are thrilled to help people learn to fly.
