The American Craft Council Retail Show returns to the Baltimore Convention Center, February 21-23, 2014, and will feature more than 650 of the country’s top contemporary craft artists presenting their latest handmade creations of jewelry, clothing, furniture and home décor. The Retail Show runs for three days with a special $5 ticket price Friday evening after 5 p.m. This year, show-goers will enjoy two new onsite exhibitions: Make Room, Modern Design Meets Craft – Let’s Entertain and American Craft™ Charm Collection.
Make Room, Modern Design Meets Craft – Let’s Entertain puts craft into context by featuring room vignettes designed by regional interior designers who have been inspired by objects of fine craft that are ideally suited for entertaining. From serving pieces to furniture, light fixtures to textiles, sculptures to decorative accessories, the possibilities are endless when is comes to the items a fine craftsman contributes to making a space feel warm and welcoming.
American Craft Charm Collection is an exclusive handmade assortment of charms, charm bracelets, cluster pendants and pins designed by American Craft Council artists. The collections will represent a broad range of aesthetics, prices and materials including alternative, semi-precious and precious. Each artist’s collection will be on display in a special pop-up exhibition space on the show floor.
With a variety of specialty categories, the American Craft Council Show offers something for everyone. Shoppers will experience the work of hundreds of the country’s most talented craft makers under one roof, while exploring the process each artist uses to create his or her work. Don’t miss this opportunity to shop one-of-a-kind, fine-quality crafts while engaging with the country’s most talented craft makers.
