A John Waters Christmas

catch of the day fish (2)It just wouldn’t be Baltimore without John Waters. And it just wouldn’t be a Baltimore Christmas without, well, A John Waters Christmas. Right? Whether you’re a die-hard Waters fan or simply want to give the visiting extended family some one-of-a-kind Baltimore holiday memories, you’ll probably want to snatch up some tickets while the getting’s good. This all-ages (but certainly adult-themed) presentation is where the self-proclaimed “Pope of Trash” puts the “X” in Xmas with his own critically acclaimed one-man show that is all about the highs and lows of the Holidays.

Though known for his dirty side, Waters’ Christmas show is really all about Christmas . “It’s my obsession with Christmas: what I want for Christmas, what you should want, how to handle every holiday disaster,” he says. His rapid-fire monologue explores and explodes the traditional holiday rituals and traditions as he shares his religious fanaticism for Santa Claus, and an unhealthy love of real life holiday horror stories. Delving into his passion for lunatic exploitation Christmas movies and the unhealthy urge to remake all his own films into seasonal children’s classics (please don’t…), “The Prince of Puke” will undoubtedly give you a Joyeaux Noel like no other. For better or for worse.

A John Waters Christmas will be performed in Baltimore at the Baltimore Soundstage on December 19th. Doors open at 6pm, show at 8pm. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.baltimoresoundstage.com.
