“Anyone serious about a career as an artist must read this book.” – Adam Sheffer, Partner, Cheim & Read Gallery
In 2011, artist Sharon Louden asked 40 ‘successful’ artists one question: How do you sustain a creative life? The result: Living and Sustaining a Creative Life, a refreshingly honest book that illuminates different paths to fulfillment in the art world, and a number of strategies for juggling creative lives with the everyday need to make a living. Since its initial publishing in 2013 by Intellect Books, distributed by the University of Chicago Press, the book is now in its fifth printing and the word is spreading.
