Reflex Functional Fitness, a new gym run by popular Baltimore trainer and martial arts instructor Reese Ashe, will be opening soon at Locust Point’s Southside Marketplace. Reflex will take over the former MedStar Primary Care location, likely opening by Black Friday, according to SouthBMore.com.
The 2,500 square-foot space will house a turfed first floor for group activities and the second floor will be dedicated to personal training. The gym will offer group instruction in martial arts as well as sculpting, abs, and core workouts. Members will have round the clock access the equipment. Ashe also plans to include events for students and young children.
The business will include a charitable wing that donates a percentage of Reflex’s monthly income to one of Ashe’s favorite causes, such as the fight against breast cancer, the fight against childhood obesity, and support for veterans. Look for a grand opening in January 2015.
