Look Out for This Juggling Jogger at the Baltimore Marathon

Most people who run Baltimore Marathon are not trying to win, per se. Some are going for a personal best time.  others realize that just finishing the 26.2-mile race is an achievement. Still others try to complete the run while juggling basketballs. Okay, one guy.

Not only does Barry Goldmeier, 50, of Rockville, run marathons; he’s also a juggler. And, gee, with so few hours in a day, wouldn’t it be an efficient use of time if he partook in both hobbies at once? And, thus, 25 years ago, the “joggler” was born!

This Saturday, Goldmeier will run — and juggle — in his eighth Baltimore Marathon. He told the Baltimore Sun he’s not sure exactly what he’ll be juggling. He may juggle 18-inch baseball bats in a Cal Ripken jersey, or he may juggle footballs in a Joe Flacco jersey.
