The man who was wounded by police outside the Fox 45 TV station after saying he had a bomb in the spring was found not criminally responsible in the case.
According to WBAL, Alex Brizzi pleaded guilty to the charges he faced in the incident. However, the judge ruled that the Elkridge man showed symptoms of mental illness, and he was committed.
The incident quickly spread worldwide on social media, with the animal suit Brizzi was wearing a particular focal point. Police later found the so-called explosive vest was filled with candy bars and a life vest.
