Last week, University of Maryland students wowed spectators of the Terps’ big win against Wisconsin (well, some were enraged) with their expertly choreographed “flash mob” and court storming. You can watch a well edited video of that whole thing here.
The energy during Saturday’s home-court win over Michigan moved ESPN commentator Dan Dakich to dub Maryland’s “the liveliest student body that I have seen, the most well attended student body that I have seen, the best student body that I have seen in the Big Ten.”
He went on: “Big Ten student sections better up their game, because Maryland has come into this conference and they have bypassed everybody.”
Yeah, well, their basketball team’s not too shabby either, having beaten the odds to clinch second place in the Big Ten.
