To help celebrate the Maryland SPCA’s upcoming 20th annual March for the Animals 1.5 mile walk-a-thon and festival, a March for the Animals Kick-Off Party for people and their pets will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Downtown Dog Resort & Spa in Baltimore.
All proceeds will be used to help save the lives of the thousands of animals that come to the MD SPCA each year.
“The March for the Animals Kick-Off Party is a great way for pet lovers and their pets to get together for a fun night while raising funds to care for the pets at the Maryland SPCA,” said Tami Gosheff, outreach and special event manager at the Maryland SPCA.
Festivities include beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks and pizza from Papa John’s. Dogs can participate in off-leash play in the doggie daycare and swim in the indoor pool. Free photos taken in photo booth; raffles with great prizes including an autographed Torrey Smith “Show Your Soft Side” poster.
Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door per person and includes pizza and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. There is a suggested $3 donation for beer and wine. Kids are welcome but must pay the full price of admission. Dogs in attendance must be fully vaccinated; female dogs in heat will not be permitted.
Downtown Dog Resort & Spa is located at 200 W. McComas Street in Baltimore. Plenty of free parking is available.
To order tickets, visit www.mdspca.org/kickoff. There will be a guest list at the door, so there is no need to print out a ticket confirmation. For questions, contact Tami Gosheff at [email protected] or 410-235-8826, ext. 138. This year’s Kick-Off Party is sponsored by M&T Bank, The Downtown Dog Resort and Papa John’s.
