The Towson-based finance firm sued Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh for a June play to take the Money Guys off the air. According to the AP, the AG is specifically going after Philippe Rousseaux, who stars in most of the infomercials. In June, Frosh accused Everest of using “prohibited marketing tactics to blur the distinction between insurance products and fee-based investment advisory services.”
With the lawsuit, Rousseaux is looking to keep a judge from pursuing Frosh’s action, which calls for the Money Guys to be barred from the airwaves.
