If anything could come close to the nail-biter that was the Super Bowl’s fourth quarter last year, it was last night’s game against the Bengals. But the Ravens triumphed (of course), and so football season in Baltimore goes on. Not only does this mean we get to keep watching the games with real interest, and keep donning our purplest outfits, but we get to keep enjoying all the great football season specials that make being a sports fan rewarding—even in our team’s lower moments. Where to go this weekend (or tonight) to celebrate this week’s win? The Mt. Washington Tavern.
Since football weekends are a sort of Saturday through Monday affair, the Tavern has great specials all three of those days. Stop in for $4 Blue Moons, $6 Red Bull & Vodkas, and specially-priced appetizers like jumbo lump crab dip and slow roasted buffalo wings. Go this evening and you can enjoy a half-priced burger and a $2 Miller Lite any time from 4pm-11pm. Of course, we expect all these specials to last clear on until our Super Bowl victory, but why wait? After all, ‘tis the season (for reveling in our Ravens pride).
The Mt. Washington Tavern is located at 5700 Newbury St in Baltimore. For more information, visit www.mtwashingtontavern.com.
