The Mt. Washington Tavern is great all year round, of course. But when the temperature starts to dip and it’s time to get cozy and warm, the Tavern truly shines. For 35 years now, the Mt. Washington Tavern has been welcoming us in from the cold with food, drinks, and company that are sure to keep a body warm. Whether you’re stopping in for one of their awesome happy hours or for the best Thanksgiving meal around, November at the Tavern just can’t be beat. And in honor of their big 35th anniversary, they’ve even collaborated with Heavy Seas to launch their very own beer, Old Hilltop Lager Ale in honor of Pimlico Race Course. Perfect reason to race on down to the tavern yourself.
Beginning this month, Old Hilltop will be available at all of the Mt. Washington Tavern’s bars. And from November 17 – 20 pint drafts of Old Hilltop will be a mere $3.50. If Thanksgiving plans are still alluding you, might we recommend reservations for the big feast? As usual, the Tavern will be open and offering a special menu featuring all the traditional favorites– which they do oh-so-well. Their regular menu will also be available for those who just can’t go without their favorite Tavern burger. And of course, even if you just have to go to the in-laws for dinner, you can still sneak away for a little aperitif once the rest of the family is in their tryptophan and pecan pie coma. That’s because the Tavern will be open until 2am on Turkey Day. Now, that’s something to be thankful for.
The Mt. Washington Tavern is located at 5700 Newbury Street in Baltimore. For more info on all things Mt. Washington Tavern, visit www.mtwashingtontavern.com.
