Gov. Martin O’Malley had previously stated that he would decide whether to seek the Democratic nomination for president in 2016 by the end of his term as governor. On Thursday, O’Malley pushed his personal deadline back a bit, telling the Associated Press that a decision will be made by spring.
He said that he’ll be using the intervening months getting himself and his family comfortable at their new place in Baltimore. It’s definitely NOT so he can wait and see whether Hillary Rodham Clinton will decide to run.
Also, Republican Larry Hogan’s upset victory of O’Malley’s handpicked successor in November will have ABSOLUTELY NO IMPACT on his viability moving forward.
