Our country’s other distinctly American holidays have the Puppy Bowl and Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, so why not add some furry friends to the Fourth of July?
The American Visionary Art Museum is set to hold a pet parade on July 4, and you better believe patriotic costumes are welcomed. Visionary Pets on Parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the Federal Hill Museum. (Pet registration begins at 9:30 a.m.)
Once the march is complete, AVAM will hand out awards for Best Costume, Most Patriotic, Most Visionary Pet, Owner & Pet look-alikes. A game of musical chairs is also promised.
