catch of the day fish (2)The fall weekend tour of the city’s neighborhoods heads to Pigtown this Saturday.

The festival runs 12-7 p.m. between the 700 and 900 blocks of the Southwest Baltimore neighborhood, which is right in the heart of its commercial area. The All Mighty Senators and The Kelly Bell Band are bringing the musical. Oliver Brewing is bringing the beer, and they’ll have special Pigtown crushes to sample, as well.

Pigtown got its name from the swine that used to be released from the nearby railroad. There won’t be a dramatic reenactment, but the festival does have pig races.
