College Park’s late-night-pizza institution Ratsie’s will close in September.
Owner Mike Falamoun told the Baltimore Business Journal that he’s “ready to be retired,” and despite offers to buy the business, he has chosen to end it and rent out the space (which he also owns) to a chain, namely Nando’s Peri-Peri.
Will Portuguese-style rotisserie chicken become the new all-purpose snack of choice for Maryland students? We’ll have to wait and see. We don’t know yet whether this Nando’s will accommodate students with late hours.
And it remains to be seen whether the Nando’s sign will look good torn down after a Terps NCAA championship win. Time will tell!
