Jacoby Jones

He was crucial to the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl win in 2013, but after a drop-off in his performance last season (which still earned him top 10 rankings in both kick off and punt returns), wide receiver Jacoby Jones has been released by the team.

His teammates tweeted their regrets at his departure, praising his abilities and attitude. Coach John Harbaugh called Jones “one of my most favorite players ever to coach.”

It’s got to particularly sting for Jones, who re-signed for four years with the Ravens just last year, despite ( he claims) being offered a better deal from the New York Giants.
