MoZeus Worldwide, a mobile-marketing and content management software company, has signed a deal with Ray Lewis for a mobile app to raise money for charity. When the consumer app becomes available on Android and iOS platforms later this fall, fans will be able to download it and “take” a photo with Lewis. One fan will win the chance to have his or her photo taken with the “real” Ray Lewis following a Ravens home game.
The Ray Lewis app will allow fans to quickly and easily share photos “taken” with the NFL legend via Facebook and Twitter. The 99-cent downloadable mobile app will be available at the MoZeus website (www.MoZeus.com), iTunes Store and Android Marketplace. Proceeds from the app will benefit the United Athletes’ Foundation. Lewis currently has a workout app on the market.
“I’m excited about this cutting-edge technology which will allow my fans to interact with me in a whole new way – while raising money for charity,” said Lewis. “Fans will be able to share photos via social media and then one lucky person will get to meet me after a Ravens home game later this season.”
To date, MoZeus has worked with approximately 200 brands, agencies and sports properties to leverage the SMART Activator for more than 100,000 event days, which has resulted in ten million unique leads and 25 million survey questions answered.
“Who better to represent our edgy approach in social media than the man who creates more havoc on the football field than anyone I know, Ray Lewis,” saidCharles Jones, Co-founder and Chief Operation Officer for MoZeus Worldwide. “MoZeus is excited about this partnership and what this new approach to celebrity engagement will mean to fans worldwide.”
Lewis serves as the Vice Chairman of the UAF, which was founded in 2008. UAF is led by a group of professional athletes who understand their unique role in improving the lives of both the athlete fraternity and the general community by leveraging their celebrity status to help the cities in which they live. Founded by former NFL player Reggie Howard, others on the board include NFL legend Jim Brown and NBA legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
