Planning to start the year off with a fitness-based new year’s resolution? Many of us are, of course. But if you dread going back to that marathon-training program you abandoned halfway through, or can’t bring yourself to pop that same old workout DVD back in, REV Cycle Studio might be just the (brand new) thing you need to get motivated and in shape this time around. Their grand opening is tomorrow, so you know you won’t be the only one starting at zero. What better way to start off a healthy new year than with a new studio and a new way to get in shape.
REV’s classes include so much more than biking (or “spinning” as it’s often called). Sure, they’ve got 45 and 60 minute classes that will get your heart pumping and your thighs throbbing, but as a “mind-body-spirit” studio, they also offer yoga classes specifically tailored to runners and cyclists; as well as classes that offer a combination of exercises. Some classes offer a combination of cycling and barre (like ballet) work. Some offer cycling combined with plyometrics (high intensity training that involves a lot of jumping). No matter which class you choose, you’re sure to get a whole lot of workout, and a whole lot of sore—but that will make for a whole lot of health and wellness in 2014.
REV Cycle Studio opens tomorrow, January 1st. It’s located at 1718 Whetstone Way in Baltimore. For more information, visit www.revuup.com.
