Boys' Latin Robo
For the third year in a row, Boys’ Latin School will host a FIRST LEGO League Tournament and a FIRST LEGO League Junior Expo on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Called “Roboquake on Lake,” this exciting, hands-on day will provide FIRST LEGO League teams from the local area with an opportunity to showcase their hard work and share their inventions with fellow teams and with the community. Over 200 students will participate and over 50 volunteers will be used to make “Roboquake on Lake” a success. Both events are free and open to spectators so come check it out with the family – it’s out of this world!

Details: Students, faculty and staff, and parents work for many months to make this community-building event a day to remember. For our young men who love Robotics and work tirelessly throughout the year, this is an opportunity to showcases their hard work and celebrate their talents.
Boys’ Latin third-grade teams will showcase their Mission Moon℠ work from 10:00 – 11:30 am in the Carolyn Smith Library. Later, students in grades 5-8 will compete against 20+ local teams in the Into Orbit℠ challenge from 12:30 – 3:15 pm in the Iglehart Center.
Both events are free and open to spectators. The BL Cafe will serve light breakfast, full lunch, and snacks in the Student Commons throughout the event.
