The holiday season is upon us. But before you let the inevitable stress seep in, take a minute to remember all of the wonderful stuff that comes along with the holidays. After all, the whole point is for us to spend time with loved ones, enjoy great company, fabulous food and drinks, appreciate the seasons changing, and (ideally) relax a bit. But of course, if you’re hosting out-of-town family, or traveling (that is, being out-of-town family) it can be hard to carve out the time for all those things between cooking, shopping, and making sure everyone (yourself included) has clean towels. So here at Catch of the Day, we’re heartily recommending that you dedicate some time to truly relaxing this holiday season. And thanks to Galloping Goose Vineyards, you can do so in style, and in an extraordinarily romantic way.
On Friday, November 30th (that gives you a full week to recover from Black Friday), enjoy a romantic evening at Galloping Goose Vineyards in Carroll County. The evening includes a special tasting menu accompanied by a glass of estate grown wine, followed up with a selection of chocolates from a local chocolatier. The vineyard’s setting offers country comfort and a truly welcoming feeling. It’s an unhurried pace to lift a glass of good wine, reflect, and refresh the spirit (both yours and your date’s). For those not convinced of the rejuvenating and salubrious quality of wine (especially in such a setting), take it from no one less than Louis Pasteur, who declared that, “Wine is the most healthful and most hygienic of beverages.” There you go. All the permission you need to up the romance and the holiday cheer.
Romancing in the Holidays takes place at the Galloping Goose Vineyard on Friday, November 30th from 5pm until 9pm. The event costs $18 per person. Please RSVP by calling 410-374-6596. For more information, visit www.gallopinggoosevineyards.com
