From Pressbox – From St. Paul’s to Notre Dame, Mikey Wynne’s lacrosse career continues to flourish. The 2014 St. Paul’s graduate is a freshman for No. 1-ranked Notre Dame, and the attackman ranks 13th in Division I men’s lacrosse in goals per game with 2.89.
During nine starts for the Fighting Irish, Wynne leads the team with 26 goals and 28 points. The team’s second leading scorer is senior and Gilman graduate Conor Doyle with 18 goals.
Wynne finished the first game of his collegiate career with a season-high six goals against No. 12 Georgetown Feb. 14. Scoring five goals against the University of Michigan Feb. 21 and four goals against No. 7 University of Virginia March 14 are among Wynne’s other impressive accomplishments this season.
