catch of the day fish (2)Yesterday, we gave you one recommendation of a way to get some laughs this weekend. After all, laughter may no shoo the Polar Vortex, but it can at least lift the winter doldrums. Well, as though they’d read our minds (or predicted how deep we’d be in winter by now), the folks at Center Stage have thoughtfully brought us a rollicking romp of a comedy with Stones in His Pockets, a two man show telling the story of what happens when a big Hollywood film crew takes over a small Irish town. The whopping cast of two takes on more than a dozen characters over the course of the show, playing Irish locals Charlie and Jack—and a chorus of other eccentrics from the film’s leading lady to a harried assistant director. Called n “uproarious, joyful evening”  by the New York Daily News, this play truly is an acting tour de force, and Center Stage has landed an amazing cast to bring it to life.

Clinton Brandhagen has appeared on Broadway in Master Class with Tyne Daly, and is a resident company member with Everyman Theatre, where he recently appeared in productions of The Glass Menagerie and The Beaux’ Stratagem.
