So….we’re not going to the Super Bowl this year. But, whatever. Let the Seahawks and the Patriots have their fun. We’ll be back with a vengeance next season. And besides that, we’ve got baseball season on the horizon, so come spring, we can drown our sorrows at Camden Yards and hope for a World Series championship, right? But in the meantime, we’ve still got to watch the big game somewhere. And since this year the stakes are lower for us (we won’t be clawing the stuffing out of the couch in the last quarter like a couple years ago) we might as well have a great time. And who knows how to throw the biggest and best Super Bowl party this side of the Potomac? Jimmy’s Famous Seafood. They’ve been doing it for 24 years.
Jimmy’s Super Bowl Party features all the staples of any rager. They’ve got an open bar, an extensive bull & oyster roast, (featuring “a dazzling assortment of aphrodisiacs” whatever that means), and dozens of free door prizes, including footballs autographed by your favorite Ravens. For those easily bored by non-Ravens football, there will be plenty of games you can play yourself when the game doesn’t hold your attention. All this, plus celebrity appearances, a silent auction of sports memorabilia, a photo booth, ice luge, and more. The only catch? This party does sell out. They don’t like to cram them in at Jimmy’s (thank goodness), so make your reservations now.
Jimmy’s Famous Seafood is located at 6526 Holabird Ave in Baltimore. Their Super Bowl party begins 30 minutes before kickoff, on Sunday, February 1st. For more information, or to make reservations, visit www.jimmysfamousseafood.com.
