It’s time once again to turn our thoughts to spring, a time when the weather allows activities like sitting outside and listening to music. The Sweetlife Festival is returning to Merriwether Post Pavillion on May 14, and the lineup was released on Tuesday.
Halsey, Flume and Grimes ensure there will be some of the better beats and vocals of the day onstage. Meanwhile, The 1975, Eagles of Death Metal and Mac DeMarco keep the alt rock coming. But Blondie is the original New Wave artist of the bunch, and the date is Debbie Harry and company’s only show listed on its website right now.
Organized by recent Baltimore arrival Sweetgreen, the fest considers food an equal part of the equation. Spike Gjerde of Woodberry Kitchen will be onhand to represent Baltimore. DC notables like Nick Wiseman of Little Sesame and Eric Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground will also be onhand, among others.
